The deadline for the City of Fort Bragg video contest has been extended to from Nov. 19 to December 3, so you can still win the first prize 5th Generation iPod Nano with video camera in time for Christmas. Second and third prizes will be gift certificates from Fort Bragg businesses.
The City of Fort Bragg Promotion Committee has created the contest to bring our town to life for the rest of the world. “Our goal is to showcase the best of Fort Bragg to attract tourists,” explained Johanna Jensen, a member of the Promotion Committee.
The winning movies will be posted on FortBragg.com, where 16,000 visitors drop by each month to plan their trips to the Coast. Managed by the Promotion Committee, FortBragg.com is the city’s official tourism website.
Here are the contest rules:
-Video length should not exceed five minutes.
-The subject must be about attractions in or near the City of Fort Bragg; things that make us special, local favorites, only-in-Fort Bragg treasures, an adventure, or a great hike. You can make it funny, romantic, whimsical or instructional. Use your imagination, but remember the goal is to make our town irresistible to tourists. Think video postcard.
-Post your video on your own YouTube site, then send an email link to email@example.com so our judges can view it.
-The deadline is Thursday, December 3.
Winners will be announced no later than Thursday, December 17.
