We are excited to announce that the contract for the build out of the Fort Bragg Coastal Trail has been approved and awarded to Granite Construction (www.graniteconstruction.com) of Ukiah.  This trail, which will be built on former GP mill site land, will connect the Noyo Headlands with Glass Beach, and run the length of the coastal frontage of the property.

The City of Fort Bragg has been working for several years to complete the Fort Bragg Coastal Trail project which will provide public access to Fort Bragg’s coast for the first time in over a century. The project is funded with a $1.36 million grant from the State Coastal Conservancy, $4.8 million from State Parks Proposition 84 funding, and $348,000 in Caltrans funding. The City has all of the funds in place to construct the trail. The project will be constructed in 2014 and 2015, with expected completion in the fall of 2015.
