Fans of Marianne Hurley, Architectural Historian with California State Parks, will be delighted to learn that she will be speaking from 10 am-noon May 14 on “Beyond the Threshold: Historic Interiors of Fort Bragg and Mendocino.” The lecture is free, but donations are welcome.

Sponsored by Friends of the Fort Bragg Library, Marianne’s talk will take place in the Historic Veterans’ Building at the corner of Laurel and Harrison. Her photographs and commentary about going inside some of the Coast’s outstanding historic buildings will be filmed by MCTV.

Two of Marianne’s previous talks, “Architectural Treasures of Fort Bragg” and “The Amazing Alleys of Fort Bragg,” can be viewed on the MCTV web-site.

This is part of the Friends of the Fort Bragg Library celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Fort Bragg Library.

IN THE EVENING is a night history walk of Fort Bragg as part of Heritage Days:

7–9 pm • Night Walk in Downtown Fort Bragg with Derek Hoyle • $5 donation • Dress warmly, and meet at the Guest House Museum at 7 pm. 343 North Main St (at Laurel St).
