We’re always glad to hear from Jeff and Cate at Liquid Fusion Kayaking with their list of great kayaking adventures for visitors and locals at all levels of experience. Jeff and Cate offer wild, white water “rock gardening” in the ocean and gentle, quiet paddles down the Noyo River.

Here’s a update on events and happening at Liquid Kayak Fusion over the next few months.

Many of you know that our Tracks to Kayaks trips have been derailed this summer due to a cave-in on the Skunk Train line.  We are excited that progress is being made to clear the tracks, and we hope to be back on track with August and September trips.  Until then we will continue with our daily routine of Whitewater of the Sea – kayak rock gardening adventures and Sunset Bird Paddles – evening wildlife and birding tours.
To wrap up summer and kick off fall – we look forward to our Mendocino Waves and Caves Labor Day Weekend.  This is a 3 day rock garden kayak trip that includes camping and food.  A special twist for our Labor Day trip is that we have some special friends with amazing culinary skills on board to host our camp and prepare meals.  Please contact us as soon as possible if you are interested.
Here’s a summary of what we have in the upcoming months:
August
September
October
10/12-10/17 BCU Week – Hosted at Fort Stevens, Oregon by our friends at Alder Creek.
10/18-10/20 Lumpy Waters – Sea kayak symposium in Pacific City, Oregon. This is a tremendously fun event!!!  Sign up NOW!!!
November
11/8-11/11 Veteran’s Day Weekend – Advanced Sea Kayak Rock Gardening 2-4 days of rock garden and surf zone instruction and play for the seasoned paddler.
We are planning a fall kayak and gear sale.  We will give our newsletter subscribers a first look at what we are selling in our August News.  For those that are in the market now for a used sea or whitewater kayak – we are selling our 2011 Dagger Alchemy-S for $600, 2011 Valley Avocet-RM for $900, and 2012 Dagger Axiom 8.0 for $550.  All of these boats are in great condition (Jeff hasn’t paddled any of them).
We hope that you are enjoying summer.  If we haven’t seen you, drop us a line and let us know what you’ve been up to.
Best of days on the water,
Jeff Laxier and Cate Hawthorne
