Dear Mrs. Conlon, My 1st writings to you were in 1980, from St. Louis. Your son, Matt, my age, b. 1962. Matt wrote to me for awhile. He was going to school in Valencia when we lost touch. Ihad moved to Hollywood in May 1982. Became a waiter at the Ivy in ‘83. Was the captain at the Brown Derby, Hollywood, & Vine, 1988. Bartended at Mr. Chow 1990.Sinatra, Peck, Grant, Taylor, Dunaway etc… etc… They were all at my tables. Then I found myself living in Idaho Springs, Co., in 2004. I met your daughter at her home, and your grandson. Wow, small world really. Iknow, remember, that Matty was a huge fan of Bettye Davis’. In 1988, 17 March, my 26th b-day

Bette sent to the Hollywood Rooseelt Hotel, where I had my b-day party in ste#1221, a poster of herself as Margo Channing 1950 “All About Eve”. Bette wrote on the poster her favorite line, of all her pictures.[Cabin in the Sky], 1933. “TOMMY, I’d love ta kiss ya but I jes washed mah hair”. Bette Davis. Mrs. Conlon, I’ve had the honour to speak with you on the phone a couple of times. In 1981 I bought the 11×14 of you and Clark Gable, autographed. MY G.W.T.W. collection that I put together in my high schjool days ‘76-’80 was stolen from a storeage unit i had in Palm Springs. my 1939 programs autographed by you, Butterfly, Victor Jory, Yakima Cannute, and Walter Plunkett. Among so many other items including my letters from Matt and from you on your Bonnie Blue stationary. Mrs. Conlon, Iwoud be greatful if you would advise me how to attain a replacement of the autographed photo of you with Gable. I’d be very, happy and greatful to send you a m.o., for that long missed picture of you. Please advise. Thank you Mrs. Conlon. My best to Matt and his in Chicago, and to your daughter in Idaho Springs, Co. My Best to you, Tommy P

We would like you to be our Guest Speaker and have a book signing for you afterward. Perhaps a Book Signing could be arranged there at Borders or Barnes and Noble,so your trip would be doubly productive.
