Wild Book Territory … A New Kind of EcoTourism in Fort Bragg

Print This Post Print This Post

A newly published guide to places where you can buy new and used books is described as a field guide to “Wild Book Territory.” Published by the Little River Inn as a resource for book lovers, collectors, bibliophiles, hardback addicts and paperback scavengers, 10 of the 12 listed book-nooks are in Fort Bragg. Interestingly, they include the public library, which has a collection of books for sale, and the non-profit  Paul Bunyan Thrift Shop, State of the Ark (Humane Society) and Granny’s Attic (Senior Center).  Also listed in “The Mendocino Coast Field Guide to Books” are “bookish events,” such as the annual Writer’s Conference. For a copy of the book guide, call 707-937-5942 or visit the Visitor Center operated by the Mendocino Coast Chamber of Commerce on Highway 1. This is one more reason to shop Fort Bragg rather than going online or over the hill.

Other Listed resources: Cheshire Books, The Bookstore Used Books, Windsong Used Books, Estate Gallery Used Books, Ananse Village, Tangents and Cooking Up Ideas.
