Pacific Coast Highway to Heaven

It’s always fun to find blogs that describe some of what I love most about living in Fort Bragg. Here’s an excerpt from a recent post on a blog called Under a Canopy of Redwoods… My Life in Northern California.

“… bear with me as I sift back through the past week and piece together the highlights of our family’s first West Coast Christmas…  We got up to explore Point Cabrillo lighthouse, the quaint small town of Fort Bragg (where we stopped at a great diner filled to the brim with plaid-shirt wearing, beard-bearing, hunting hat donning locals), and another inspiring beach (Glass Beach–known for their sea glass)…”

She continues, “This kind of northern California coast is truly another world. It’s incredibly rural, and far removed from everything. Although the streets might be filled with tourists in the summer season, in winter these towns are slow, quiet, and peaceful. And the coastal views–around every bend is another one to take your breath away. Eventually we felt silly even commenting, because it was non-stop gorgeous from start to finish”.
