The Flowers at Glass Beach

Glass Beach features a blaze of spring color
Everyone knows that Glass Beach at one time was the city rubbish heap, cleaned up now and popular among those who crave the beautiful colored glass you can find year around. But few, I suspect, would think to come here for the flowers.
The wild flowers are really amazing and appear in as many colors as the glass below the bluffs.
Next time you are here in search of glass treasure, don’t forget to just wander north along the ocean bluffs. You can walk for miles along the Haul Road, now all part of MacKerricher State Park. One of life’s small adventures.
