Clean up the Coast this Saturday
Wednesday, September 16th, 2009
North Coast beaches attract thousands of visitors and locals throughout the year for beach walks, ocean kayaking, surfing, fishing, abalone diving, or sunset gazing. This Saturday, you have the chance to give back during Coastal Cleanup Day. The 25th annual California Cleanup Day will start at beaches throughout the state at 9 am, Saturday September 19th.
The Mendocino Land Trust, a local non-profit, is hosting the event locally and will organize cleanup crews and provide trash bags and gloves.

There is also a small Coastal Cleanup Day Volunteer Appreciation Light Lunch provided by the Land Trust at Big River Beach at noon for CCD volunteers on the same day – lunch is limited to the first 75 volunteers.
