PET-FRIENDLY FORT BRAGG PLANS PET PJ PARTY

FORT BRAGG, Calif. – The City’s first Pup PJ party has it all: MCDOG Park Mayor Hobbes (a Chihuahua mix) will host the August 7, 2009 event; doggies will be wearing snazzy jammies, and there will be prizes for best PJ’s. Registration is free.

“What can I say: we love pets in Fort Bragg,” says Johanna Jensen, pet lover and event organizer. “If you consider that Fort Bragg has the oldest ugly dog contest and stages regular dog art events, it’s hard to think anyplace else is more animal friendly. Of course, we welcome the dog owners as well.”

The Pup PJ Party registration takes place at 5:45 pm with judging from 6-6:30 with the first place winner getting two tickets to the Glorianna Opera’s “The Pajama Game. Second place is a dog t-shirt with pet emporium PAWS on Fort Bragg’s Main Street providing gift certificates. PAWS also will be selling dog jammies for those who don’t happen to have colorful canine sleepwear sitting around.

The Pup PJ Party will be held on the city’s regular First Friday Art Walk so dog owners can tour local art galleries, sample free refreshments and listen to music as they walk their furry friends.
