Artists have been creating work on the North Coast long before there was anyone to sell it to. Now, downtown Fort Bragg is littered with galleries featuring local artists of greater fame, and we are a destination for art enthusiasts. Fort Bragg’s monthly First Friday Art Walk is the perfect chance to preview homegrown art over a glass of wine and hors d’oeuvres.

If you are a frequent flyer of the First Friday loop or if you’ve seen enough oceanscapes, and would like to see something new… something a little odd… check out the new studio/gallery Odd Hours.

Perched atop Tangents on the corner of Laurel & Main, this brand new gallery is a tucked-away treasure in plain view. Featuring pieces by a handful of younger, not-so famous (yet), edgier artists, the gallery is a fresh twist of lime to the local art community. The studio isn’t just a novelty, they’ve got some really great pieces on the walls. Check it out for yourself during Open Studio, this Friday after 5pm.
