The weather’s changing…the air is crisper…it’s getting dark earlier…and we’re all craving comfort food, right? How about wrapping your hands around a hearty cup of piping hot, home made soup or chili? If that sounds good, then you’ll want to head for the First Annual Soup & Chili Cook-Off on Friday October 26, 5-7:30 pm, at the Pentecost Hall, 822 Stewart Street, Fort Bragg.
Local chefs, business owners and neighbors who just love to cook, will be offering up their favorite recipes. In addition to soup and chili tasting, there’ll be music, a raffle, silent auction and no-host bar. Proceeds benefit the Fort Bragg Food Bank.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for kids under 12. Each admission ticket includes one drink ticket and one raffle ticket. Tickets are available at the Food Bank, Harvest Market and at the door.
Still Time To Enter
This is a competition, which means some big-time bragging rights going to the winners. If you’ve got a favorite soup or chili family recipe, you’re invited to enter the competition. Deadline for entries is October 24. For more information contact the Fort Bragg Food Bank at 707-964-9404.
