November is a good time to catch some art and culture, and to think about what’s ahead as the holiday season approaches. The Symphony of the Redwoods Chamber Music concert series right here in Fort Bragg is an excellent place to start. Their fall concert with award winning guitarist, Paul Psarras is Saturday November 12 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, November 13 at 2:00 PM. It’s an evening of musical entertainment you won’t want to miss. The Latin-flavored program includes Rodrigo’s “Concierto de Aranjuez” as well as selections from Piazzolla, Marquez and Stravinsky. Psarras was featured with early music group El Mundo in their GRAMMY nominated recording Kingdoms of Castille. For more than ten years Paul has been rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist with Fotia, a successful Greek band in the Bay area. His proficiencies include playing unusual instruments like the oud, the saz and other folk instruments. Cotton Auditorium is a wonderful venue for the concerts. The acoustics and setting are marvelous! Click here for tickets and more information.
One of the most popular dining spots for both locals and visitors is The Restaurant, located on Main Street. They’re back from an annual fall vacation – just in time to book a table before the concert. They open at 5:00 PM daily. Every dish there is lovingly prepared and utterly amazing. Take a look at their classic menu here.
The Red Guitar Jazz at the Sequoia Room
