I like the poster for this event so much that I want to share it with you, even though I had to take a mediocre picture through a window! The Bastille Day Bike Race is infused with a little bit of European inspiration and style, which is a welcome twist to life in Fort Bragg.
Bike riders are invited to participate in this event for fun (a 30 mile joy ride) or for serious (a 60 mile race). Riders will start from Fort Bragg Cyclery and end at the Ledford House in Albion.
This will be a great chance to ride a little safer on Highway 1 (as part of a large group) and to enjoy the newly widened and resurfaced pavement.
Registration begins at Fort Bragg Cyclery at 8 am. Pre-ride orientation is at 10 and departure scheduled for 10:30 am.
The $25 entry fee includes a buffet lunch.
Have fun, and if you participate – post some photographs to our Facebook page and tell us how the ride goes!
The event is hosted by Fort Bragg Cyclery and sponsored by Down Home Foods. All proceeds will benefit the non-profit Mendocino Coast Cycling Club.
