Two things to count on: lots of Gray Whales migrating from Mexico with their newborn calves to their Alaska feeding grounds and a weekend of fun in Fort Bragg.

On Saturday, March 15, there will be chowder tasting, microbrew sampling and the 30th Annual 10K/5K Run & Walk.

There is a crafts fair both days. You also will want to check docent-led whale watching at MacKerricher State Park and the Point Cabrillo Light Station State Historic Park (just 10 minutes south of Fort Bragg). Mark your calendar!
