Brother Thelonius. Downtown Brown. Red Seal.  Sumpin Hopin. Hemp. Death and Taxes.

The names are oddly enticing even if you didn’t know they all are great microbrews. But beers they are — and to the beer lover — they are mouth watering taste treats.

Of course, our local favorites — produced by Fort Bragg’s own award-winning North Coast Brewing Company — include Old Rasputin, Acme Pal Ale, PranQster and Old Stock 38 (and of course, Red Seal and Brother Thelonius).

No wonder the Whale Festival Beer Tasting (this year Saturday, March 16), sponsored by the Fort Bragg Rotary Club, is a sell-out event.

The Cost is $30. Believe me, you’ll get your money’s worth.

Location: Eagles Hall in Fort Bragg (210 N Corry); 12:00–4:00pm. Tickets are available at the door.
