Tradition is tradition, so despite the cold snap (34 degrees), people visited Santa at the Guest House, cheered the lighting of the official city tree and lined the streets for the annual Holiday Lights Parade tonight (Saturday, Dec. 7).
The only thing missing as folks bundled up was the snow. But we think no one was complaining about that.
Babies saw Santa for the first time, high school kids sold hot chocolate along Main Street and the Fort Bragg Historical Society was keeping people warm and giving out punch and cookies. All-in-all, it was a great kickoff to the holiday season.
