In times like these, it takes the whole community to keep the wheels of the local economy turning. The new county-wide campaign motto encourages residents and visitors to “Think Local, Shop Local, Be Local.” I think most people would agree that we need to keep as many dollars here in Fort Bragg as possible.
But, what does it mean to “think local”? How can we support local businesses during tough times? How do we highlight Fort Bragg as a unique travel and shopping destination?
These are the questions that members of the Fort Bragg Promotion Committee will be asking at next week’s Shop Local Campaign Meeting. The City of Fort Bragg recently allocated $5,000 to start a Shop Local Campaign which will be facilitated by the Promotion Committee (FBPC). Everyone is welcome to attend the first planning meeting next week. Please bring ideas & enthusiasm and think about what skills and resources you can contribute to the effort.
