CV Starr Community Center with two indoor pools, water slide, lazy river, diving board, & eight lap lanes, CV Starr is guaranteed to take up a few hours of your day here on the coast. This community center also offers a variety of fitness classes including yoga and spin. Just outside of the CV Starr building, there is also a skate park, and an off-leash dog park!
Kayaking this is a very popular activity here in Fort Bragg, whether you wander off in the Noyo River or into the ocean. You can enjoy tours with some fantastic tour guides over at Liquid Fusion. Depending on your experience, they can do tours from mild to wild! If you’d prefer a more relaxed tour, Noyo River is where they’ll take you, or surfing waves and exploring caves for a more wild adventure.
Mini Golfing when you’re traveling with kids, sometimes it’s hard to find things to keep everyone happy, but this is bound to keep them and yourself entertained for a little while! Emerald Dolphin Mini Golf not only has an 18-hole mini golf course, but an arcade with pinball, air-hockey, billiards, racing and hunting games, and dance dance revolution. This is a place to enjoy for all ages!
All Aboard Adventures from late December until late April, All Aboard will take you whale watching, salmon fishing is from April until November, rock cod fishing is from mid-May until late October, and for crabbing it is the first Saturday of November through late July annually. With the fishing, they’ll take you out and in a short matter of time you’ll catch something! With Crabbing, they take you out and drop crab pots into the ocean and then catch the crab. After reaching the dock, they clean and cook the crab for you to enjoy at the picnic with music and the atmosphere of Noyo Harbor.
Live Jazz there are a couple different places here in town that offer live jazz music such as Headlands Coffeehouse, North Coast Brewery, or Cucina Verona. Headlands’ live jazz takes place every night Monday-Saturday from 7-9:45 pm and on Sundays from 2-5pm and there are no extra charges, just as long as you buy some coffee or a warm treat. Jazz at the Sequoia Room in the North Coast Brewery has different performances generally on Fridays and Saturdays each week. Visit their website here to check the schedule. Coast Cinemas catch a movie during your trip at the Coast Cinemas! It’s nice to have a movie theater that plays current movies in this small town, so take advantage and sit back with some popcorn and a soda! Otis Johnson Park this is a great place to see some Redwoods and sit and have a picnic. Casual trails through the redwoods will take your breath away, hard to believe these gentle giants live right in town as well. Try to visit this park in the day time so you can view all the beauty and the sunshine peering through the trees. Located at the east end of Laurel St. in Fort Bragg.
Segway Tours these tours are a new addition to our community, and provide a wonderful way to experience the beautiful coast of Fort Bragg. Not only do you view the gorgeous coastline, these tours also take you into historic downtown, through Otis Johnson Park, Rose Memorial Park filled with history of past generations, CV Starr center, ending with coffee and cookies. Horseback Riding riding a horse along the beach is a great way to experience the feel of Fort Bragg, so call Ricochet Ridge Ranch and set up an appointment for the family or even just for couples. Ricochet does 1 hour rides along ten mile beach in Cleone, and all kinds of different horse-riding experiences whether you’d rather be on the beautiful sandy beach, or inland with the gorgeous scenery it’s a great experience for all ages.
